i don't remember where i came across him; his first, obnoxiously overpriced monograph, is about to be released stateside. i'm really digging the old swiss building renovations like his and olgiati's yellow house.
yeah, it's the national park center in zernez. pretty recent. i only got to visit paspels when i was over there, which i could have seen atelier bardill as well...
diabase - i read the guardian article about his new school that was posted here recently, had never heard of him before then. really nice work.
would love to see more shots of the one you posted, is it from your area?
The building was part of the city's redevelopment in preparation for the Olympics. The firm is also featured in a recent Actar publication about young architects in the country.
ha, holz i don't think I'll ever fill those shoes, after 40 pages of this thread I've only gotten you a few times.
that slice in the car park that lines up with the reveal of the concrete wall; don't think any of my contractors could pull that off. nice detail, interesting structure.
Do we think that that panel is doing the work it appears to do ? That is, if a runaway garbage truck took out the panel, would the building risk collapse ? It appears to be a pretty robust pier, doesn't it. . .
can't manage to put the actual image here and don't want to keep trying and making a mess, can you please suggest how do I have to do?
Thanks, c'mon guys do try and guess the building
Name that Architect and Building!!!
just a guess...
MLC centre, sydney by h. siedler
right on.
whoa. ok next up:
looks like a mix of Torafu and Pezo von Ellrichshausen. sort of an odd placement, is this temporary?
close. yes, it is an info center for a triennale
ah, Akihisa Hirata Architecture Office.
they have that great outdoor mall project in tokyo you posted in another thread awhile ago. good stuff.
ok this will be the last swiss project i post in a while, i promise
nice view

indeed it is.. a couple others
the top one is Vetter Schmid Architekten-esque...
but i am drawings a blank. is this in GR?
it is, in Inn. those other images are actually of the same house... here's some others from the same archi, he does a lot of really cool rehabs:
house is in sent. office in st. moritz
, haus in sent.
damn, i didn't know this guy, phu.
now i gotta dig deep to fins something good...
one last swiss...

damn, that thing is quite the monolith.
that's about $60 cheaper than the geman version...
it is a monolith, also in the engadin area.
wait.. speaking of, i'm almost positive that's olgiati... i knew i had seen that before
yeah, it's the national park center in zernez. pretty recent. i only got to visit paspels when i was over there, which i could have seen atelier bardill as well...
next, looks different, but same project:
I want one. Where do I have to live ?
to live there, you'd have to move to england. couple more of this:
can I go? Let's just throw up another image for good measure - it's an easy one
ah,
Buschow Henley
Two Houses
Hackney, London

no clue on yours either, atech
atp's is hopewell baptist church, b. goff
actually db, is that marsh cooks's place?
the interior structure of that goff church is sweet.
No - not Cook.
A clue which will lead to the answer. The photo was taken by long standing Archinect contributor Patrick Marckesano.
it's donovan hill's c house in brisbane.
what's the relationship w/ marckesano?
Patrick worked for Donovan Hill back in the day...
Off you go.
bearth + deplazes - contemporary art gallery in marktoberdorf
brick walls, uninsulated wood floors and exposed piping, an interesting take on the contemporary gallery.
the next:
that second image is an amazing space - the light on the concrete, the big steel diagonal. it feels spanish
it is a really nice material pallet, the operable facade creates a lot of interesting conditions throughout the day:
not in spain, as this next picture shows:
to keep this going...

Yeah, it’s a neat little project. We are in the northern part of Ticino
Delightful.

due to the thin width, i'd think the perpendicular wall provides support or there is a ton of concrete in the ground...
Hi guys, I hope I manage to post this photograph
