Karbon Cafe & Co-work Space emerged from a unique collaboration between our studio and an urban design team. The vision was to create a hybrid café and coworking space, allowing for an expanded workspace while minimizing costs and maximizing impact with limited investments. To bring this concept to life, we searched for a location in Tehran's central district, renowned for its thriving art scene. In our quest, we found a charming house built in the 1970s that epitomized the architectural style of the Second Pahlavi era. During the renovation, we focused on preserving the original character of the house, enhancing its cozy and contemporary atmosphere. The interior features a signature deep greenish-blue color palette, complemented by vintage decor, furniture, and abundant greenery. This tasteful combination creates a warm and inviting environment that encourages working, socializing, and building new connections. Karbon Cafe also hosts a diverse range of innovative and engaging events and workshops, fostering social and professional collaboration as a dynamic community hub. As architects involved in business strategy, we recognize the importance of harmoniously integrating design with entrepreneurial vision to create a successful and engaging space. Karbon Cafe & Co-work Space exemplifies this approach, blending architectural innovation with entrepreneurial ingenuity.
