The California Department of Housing and Urban Development provided us the opportunity to create adaptable ADU plans for unincorporated areas in California. The programming was based off the concept of “Missing Middle Housing”. Nearly 10,000 combined SF of plans were developed using BIM featuring studios to three-bedroom units in configurations of single structures up to quadplexes. Plans had to be specific enough to pass state code, but generic enough to be adapted to different site conditions in California.
