This thesis study analyses the loneliness epidemic in the United States and its impact. The research demonstrates how the built environment was designed to promote individualism, leading to an isolating landscape that only exacerbates the crisis. Using various urban design theories, these community networks can be patched to create collective public spaces that work for all users.
