I swear I'm not dead, really. School has hit, and hit hard. It's come to the point where there is so much work that I have to start choosing what to finish/not finish based on what professor I don't want to upset more.
I have this problem with not saying no. Sure, I'll do that. Sounds good. I have time to fit it in. But in all reality, I take too much on.. which makes everything suffer. I want to just drop all extracurriculars, stop taking 1 credit hour courses that ask for more work than 3, and just work on studio. I used to love working in studio and being able to invest time into a project, actually experimenting and creating new things. Now, it's down to a new philosophy, "don't think, just do, do, do." I'm turning into a machine, and I don't like it.

I know what you mean. I'am doing two studios this semester along with other classes they throw on me. Keep at it. As far as the "do,do,do" mentality. I found that if you take a nap that the work you produce when your rested comes out better. Rest up
i have the same bad habit "i never say no" and i've come to realize at 28 i can't just count hours to a deadline with fitting sleep in there somewhere. I used to actually think, well 168 hours in a week, that's 4 work weeks, I can get away with 8 hours sleep...
say no, charge more. or in academia, say no and do ONE good project, I'm finding this is the best route, although I am not used to showing crappy work, but that's the price you'll have to pay.
