first late night of the year last night as we worked towards getting our model and diagrams done. this quarter is the second quarter of the M.arch I program and is part 2 of 5 of the "core studios". the focus this quarter is on "structures" so we've been executing a case study in groups.
we've been looking at sejima's small house (or casa pequeno by el croquis). very interesting 1100+ sf house. amazing how thin EVERYTHING is in the house.
presented our diagrams and model (which came out quite nicely) and doing a little more analysis and discussion for friday's studio. no disasters either!

those structual models look really great yesterday... can you post some pictures?
pics forthcoming... they're in the decafe so there's not a lot of light to photograph them well.
with the word thin - made me think if we made all of our houses so small in america do you think we could overcome obesity ? architecture + society = ???
