Here's a digital model of our distortion value map. It basically mapped the absolute value of distortion that occurred in our topographic analysis from before (see eye charts). 
The greater the aperture, the more distortion.
Here's the physical model. All in laser cut acrylic. Over 1100 pieces total! :-p Bad images as they were taken with my phone. This thing is hard to photograph well. I'll need to back light it for good photos.
