g+ The Urban Harvest Beijing

Walking through g+ The Urban Harvest in Sanlitun is "a diverse sequence of spatial experiences", as described by the British architect, Ian Douglas-Jones. His studio in China, Atelier I-N-D-J, has recently transformed the interior space of the new g+ The Urban Harvest in Taikoo Li Sanlitun, Beijing.

The double height flexible space is currently dominated by art works curated by artgogo, the central space is flexible however – whether it be an exquisite dining space or event space – vernissage, corporate events and conferencing keep this innovative eatery more than just a restaurant.

The central space is flanked by lower ceiling dining areas that contain pockets of surprise, from sound proofed private dining rooms, to the camouflage clad WC accented by pink neon, to oriel windows with vistas to the Beijing streets below.

A bold cantilevered stair case leads up to a verdant 140sqm terrace; full of jungle like planting, crops for use in the kitchen and ‘the secret garden’ where graffiti super graphic, camouflage and grass collide to make for one of the best terraces in the village.
