PROGRAM: Newly constructed high-end single-family hillside home 

SIZE: 10,712 SF

PROJECT NARRATIVE: Designed in conjunction with Los Angeles designer/developer ID Group, this residence features unique forms and materials uncommon in most contemporary work. Arriving at the upper level, one descends into the home via a sky-lit court featuring an elevator and a gracefully curving architectural stair. The design sought to capitalize upon the steep site by introducing multiple levels that both engage the terrain and create an opportunity for a more private lower level. Large rooms with wide expanses of glass gather the wide views of Los Angeles below and are finished with textured concrete, natural stone and deeply stained wood.
