87 HOUSE

THIS VERY TRADITIONAL BRAZILIAN ARCHITECTURE STYLE 2 STORY RESIDENCE HAS PRESERVED ITS CHARACTERISTICS ALONG THE TIME, SUCH AS TYPICAL CEILING, WINDOW FRAMES, BRICK FACADES, ETC.

A YOUNG COUPLE HAS DECIDED TO RENOVATE IT WITH THE INTENTION TO BRING A MORE CONTEMPORARY LOOK AND FEEL TO THIS HOUSE, WITH MORE OPEN SPACES, NATURAL LIGHT AND UNCONVENTIONAL MATERIALS.

THE SOCIAL AREA OF THE HOUSE WAS PROPOSED TO ALLOW MORE INTEGRATION BETWEEN INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR, ALLOWING TONS OF NATURAL LIGHT TO ENHANCE COMMUNICATION WITH THE EXTERNAL AREA.

THE VOLUMS WERE TREATED TO BECOME PURE SHAPES, ELIMINATING ORNAMENTS OR OLD DETAILS. THE ONLY ELEMENT ADDED WAS A DELICATE MESH IN CORTEN STEEL, USED TO HIGHLIGHT AND LEVERAGE THE SOLID SHAPES OF THE HOUSE.
