$21 million
This new 68,000 square foot facility, located in the heart of the University of South Carolina campus, works alongside the current Thompson Student Health Center as home to the University’s Student Health Services. The building, which has high benchmarks for sustainability, creates a “campus center around wellness”, promoting healthy living and setting the bar for student health centers nationwide. The building contains clinical and laboratory areas for a range of health services, as well as facilities for counseling, wellness and education, a retail pharmacy, and a number of public amenities to draw students into the building. The design is a collaboration between Quackenbush Architects + Planners and Perkins + Will.
