Emphasis for the studio was placed on tectonics, site analysis and the communication of ideas through computer graphics and 3-D models. The semester allowed for two large-scale projects, a Natatorium in Manhattan, Kansas and a Winery in the Flint Hills of Kansas. The studio was supplemented with furthering their studies in construction methods and building type analysis.
