This project focuses on the mechanisms through which the movements of an actual body are transferred to an avatar in the virtual world. Starting with Motion Capture the project’s series of drawings are meant to explore the connections and transformations between the two bodies in their respective sides contexts, the actual and the digital. The drawings are also an interpretative probing of the relationships between a “real body” captured with no context and a “virtual body” in a given context. This concept is used in the final drawing which as a criticism toward the phenomenon of surveillance in which numerous socially differentiated bodies are considered as and merged into one collective body, so as to generate one standardized module for enforcement with political purposes.
