Shigeru Ban named as 2014 Pritzker Prize Laureate
Japanese architect Shigeru Ban was announced as the 2014 Laureate of the Pritzker Architecture Prize on March 24. Ban will be the seventh Japanese architect to become a laureate of the Pritzker Prize, widely regarded as "the Nobel Prize" in the architecture profession.

In the latest edition of the Fenn Young Designers Award (FYDA) International Design Competition from Bangkok, over 300 submissions from young creatives ages 18-33 submitted designs that redefine the library for today's technological times.
3XN to design entertainment complex for DreamCenter in Shanghai
DreamWorks Animation recently commissioned 3XN to design an entertainment and commercial complex for the new DreamCenter, which will be built in Shanghai's West Bund district. 3XN's contribution to the DreamCenter will emphasize the "red carpet experience."
OMA wins Axel Springer Berlin HQ competition
After going against BIG and Buro Ole Scheeren in the final round, OMA's/Rem Koolhaas' design was unanimously selected for the new Berlin Media Campus of German publishing house Axel Springer.
Winning projects of the 2014 U.S. Wood Design Awards
The winners of the U.S. Wood Design Awards competition prove that wood is good in architecture. The top 13 projects in wood architecture were awarded in various categories.
