While the pavilions, installations and exhibitions at the 11th Architecture Biennale Venice have already been drawing much attention this week, another very exciting event within the Biennale event framework is coming up this weekend: MACE (Metadata for Architectural Contents in Europe), a two-day international conference dedicated to interlinking architectural information and digital repositories in order to share knowledge and experience. And Archinect is involved, too: our very own Bryan Boyer will be representing Archinect at the event!

Aaron Betsky is the director of the event and also the director at the Cincinnati Art Museum. He does such a great job there, (for example he's bringing the China Design Now show this fall straight from London) I'm jealous of anyone who gets to go and see such amazing works!

A survey of the audience says that Archinect is not very well known in Europe, at least by this (very un-scientific) measure. Maybe we should start archinect's first demographic survey. I'm curious who you are: Young, old; US, EU, elsewhere; happy, sad; short, tall; green olives or black?

I am not and did not live blog due to personal reasons, namely that if you're going to bother traveling hours to go somewhere you should &*$%ing sit there and listen, not annoy people with your clickety clack. Or maybe I'm just bitter from a few too many SXSW sessions where everyone is staring at their computers...
FWIW, I was there (as member from the MACE team) and I liked the presentation. It was personal, it was interesting and it was to the point.
For the statistics: 35-EU (Belgium). Is that still young?
