While the Seattle Times talks with Rem Koolhaas, the SeattlePI spends A moment with ... Joshua Prince-Ramus. Not only was Prince-Rumus the partner in charge of the Seattle Central Library project by OMA, his mother was the one who urged him to submit designs for the library competition the day before the registration deadline.

while i'm sure it's as much a product of the interviewer/writer as the subject but it amazes me that an interview with rem is ALWAYS engaging - moreso than interviews with most other architects. he consistently raises the tone from the superficial to something more insightful.
the jpr might have been better, but i guess i'll blame the presentation for its superficiality more than jpr.
mama knows best
wasn't his mom on the library board as well? or did i hear that rumor from steven holl?
