The AIA Committee on Design presents Fountain of Use, a design ideas competition exploring the meaningful use of water as a component of urban planning. The jury will coincide with the COD's upcoming conference, Rejuvenation of American Cities on the Water, to be held April 12 - 15 in Miami, FL. Deadline for registration was yesterday.

Uhh...announcement of a competition with a March 13 registration deadline on March 14? Why bother?
good point.
well, according to the AIA COD website, the competition was announced Feb 12 2007. I guess word took its time getting around.
ya, i just received this via email from AIA this morning...
Funny that they would take a month to notify a pretty well-known clearinghouse for architectural competitions. Maybe they weren't getting enough interest. Seems like this always happens. I wish competition organizers would make better use of sites like this one, rather than assuming we have nothing better to do than to constantly check the websites of the millions of organizations that could possibly be hosting a competition. It's no fun trying to enter a competition that you just found out about at the 11th hour (or 13th, in this case).
