Van Alen Institute has partnered with the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) and Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture Planning and Preservation (GSAPP) to spark dialogue about the ways in which thriving cities and complex ecosystems can co-exist, and to re-conceptualize the significance of federal parks in an increasingly urbanized national landscape...
With the launch of this competition, Van Alen Institute additionally aims to raise the bar for all U.S. design competitions by providing a comprehensive website that acts as an accessible resource for both competitors and the public at large.
