As someone who has lived in Philadelphia for the past eight years, I think that it's been an absolute blessing not having Venturi build in the city. His new condo tower lacks detail, good design and, worst of all, rigor. In his later years he seems to have become simply a watered down version of himself...he should have retired with dignity in the mid-1990s.
