The University of Texas at Austin's Spring lineup of public events and lectures is kicking off our 2023 Get Lectured series with visits from speakers who will "address contemporary topics like housing, social equity, and the impact of technology on our fields."
On January 18, the school welcomes Dwayne Oyler and Jenny Wu of Oyler Wu Collaborative. January 23 brings a lecture from Tod Williams of Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects. February 8 will host a lecture by Michael Hsu of Michael Hsu Office of Architecture, followed by a lecture from Alex Swender on February 10 and a lecture from Alex Joseph of PARTISANS on February 13.
Lorcan O’Herlihy of Lorcan O’Herlihy Architects will present his lecture on March 8, followed by Ross Altheimer and Maura Rockcastle of TEN x TEN Studio, who will give a lecture on March 27. A visit and lecture from Jorge Pardo will take place on March 29, followed by a presentation from Karl Klein on April 3, concluding the school's Spring lecture series.
In addition to the list of exciting speakers and guest lectures UT Austin School of Architecture will host an exhibition, “For Whites: Contextualizing Race and Architecture at The University of Texas at Austin,” from March 6–April 14, in addition to several symposiums like: “Architecture After AI” from January 30–February 24 (with a companion symposium on February 3) and the Meadows Symposium “Transgressive Practices to Transformative Policies: Landscape Change Fast & Slow” on February 24.
