Results of NASA’s 3D Printed Habitat Challenge for space exploration 

NASA and America Makes (National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute) had multi-disciplinary teams develop 3D-printed shelters equipped to withstand the environments of Mars and deep-space exploration. Get a glimpse of the winning project, The Mars Ice House, here.

National Parks Now results offer fresh approaches to reconnect people with nature 

Last year, the National Park Service and the Van Alen Institute invited four multidisciplinary teams to propose pilot projects for four national parks in the American Northeast. Teams had to develop fresh ideas on how to revamp the national park-going experience.

2015 Carter Manny awardees talk history in examining current architectural discourse 

Since 1996, the Graham Foundation's Carter Manny Awards have recognized outstanding Ph.D. projects in dissertation writing and dissertation research. Get a glimpse of what some of today's architectural scholars are investigating. Watch the top winning entries of the AIA Look Up Film Challenge 

Films depicting the social impact of architecture was in the spotlight in the AIA's Look Up Film Challenge. Launched earlier this year as part of the Institute's multi-year public awareness campaign, the competition challenged entrants to produce a short film in 16 days.
