there is now a note on the competition web site explaining why they didnt note any university catagory teams:
"University Category:
The jury has determined that the final pool of University submissions did not achieve the same level of resolution, artistic skill and richness of integration of the Cradle to Cradle conceptual framework as the entries in either the Professional or Student categories and has decided not to select any of these submissions as award winners."
not to completely knock any of the winners[but some of the professional entries can be easily seen as 2nd rate undergrad projects!]....your telling me that the unversity submissions were actually worse and not good evough to award even one prize? the award for the unversity teams were supposed to be internships for various size teams with room and board to construct the projects.
what a scam!. i would be very angry --- i suspect they just withdrew the prize offer and this had nothing to do with the actual quality of submissions. as the univesity team had to have a prof sponsor, what the hell must these guys be teaching if it cant make the most basic standard. wheres NAAB when you need them?
