Inaugural winners of Hnedak Bobo Group’s travel scholarship
Hnedak Bobo Group recently announced HBG employees Thor Harland and Branden Canepa for the inaugural Gregory O. Hnedak (GOH) Travel Scholarship, which was named after and inspired by the co-founder and his travels worldwide as part of his creative process. HBG also awarded $5,000 to three University of Arkansas Fay Jones School of Architecture students for the Hnedak Bobo Group International Design Competition.
Glasgow School of Art announces shortlist for Mackintosh Building restoration
Five architecture firms, who are known for their experience in major restoration and historic buildings, have been shortlisted in a competition to restore the Glasgow School of Art's Mackintosh Building, which suffered from a destructive fire that broke out inside the building last May.
Designers announced for 16th International Garden Festival in Reford Gardens
Out of 309 entries, the jury selected the designers who will exhibit their winning conceptual garden designs at the 16th International Garden Festival at the Reford Gardens / Jardins de Métis in Quebec this June. Check out last year's installations here and here.
CALL FOR ENTRIES: 2015 SARA | NY Design Awards
The Society of American Registered Architects - New York Council recently launched a call for entries for the 2015 SARA | NY Design Awards. Professionals and students are encouraged to submit their best works -- built or unbuilt. Register before January 26 and submit before February 23. Further info here.
“Building Images” to exhibit Arcaid Images-winning photography in London
The upcoming "Building Images" celebrates architectural photography and its role in the architecture + design industry through the lenses of some of the medium's best talents in the upcoming exhibition. The exhibition opens to the public this Friday, January 16.
