The site of the former radio factory is located in Mukhiani settlement, Gldani district, Tbilisi. The complex industrial and administrative buildings of the factory play an important role in the development of the Mukhiani district.
The revitalization of the radio factory has become relevant in recent years. There are a lot of opinions and concerns about this topic. The factory area consists of several large buildings. From a formal and functional point of view, the character of buildings is a kind of resource that provides a sufficient starting point on which to base new ideas, although it is an important challenge to form a unified vision and reveal a clear direction.
The development concept by MUA gives the area of the former radio factory an important and specific function - it becomes a place where knowledge about particular crafts is taught and imparted.
A professional college may be set up as a platform for the development of a variety of manufacturing products, technical skills, and the study of methods needed. In addition to the college and its auxiliary spaces (workshops, enterprises, recreation, canteen, etc.) the concept includes spaces filled with various functions such as sports and multifunctional exhibition halls, cafe-bars, campus, and more.
