The Offcenter, an entertainment complex located on a large open rolling landscape to the southwest of the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville, contains three distinct elements - the Static Wall, the Kinetic Wall, and the Kinetic Perimeter. The Static Wall includes a cafe, an art gallery and a reception area with a viewing mezzanine for watching drive-in films. The Kinetic Wall is a sculptural component that transforms between a movie screen, a bandshell, and a pavilion via a pivoting plane of mechanical louvers. The Kinetic Perimeter opens and closes on pivots to create an adjustable barrier around the large site.
