The challenge of this project is to experiment with the mathematical properties and systems inherent in physical form, as well as the physical realities of these mathematical models. The intention is to study the benefits and shortcomings of contemporary digital design processes and resultant products when rational models are introduced to what is often a purely intuitive design process. The complexity of working between 3D modeling software, manufacturing software, and a CNC router requires the development and documentation of a method for translating virtual models into physical manifestations.
