This is Phase 3 of Radiation Therapy.
In this phase, major shifts took place in how I considered the site. Instead of having a separate public entity, I decided to make the whole space surrounding the research facility the public space. This enables consideration as well as memorialization of the nuclear waste and the site as a whole (an idea presented by Thomsen and Kahn).
As I researched subduction more, I came across what is known as a Slab Window. I used this to inform the structure of the research facility- in terms of the 2 wings as well as divergence/convergence with the landscape.
Because the whole site became the public zone, I again instituted use of the grid. Outposts are placed on select grid points.
