Teradata

Challenges were abundant in the development of Teradata’s state-of-the-art 52,000 square foot space. The global analytic data platforms leader sought a more creative and collaborative work environment, moving their 240+ employees from a traditional multi-story office tower to a single-level, open-ceilinged warehouse. On a highly accelerated schedule, Kamus+Keller helped Teradata with the dramatic consolidation shift, coordinating with the company’s Indiana office and several other personnel, support teams, consultants and firm management on all design matters to create a livable environment for their staff. New amenities included a gym and locker rooms, game lounge, exterior patios and an open coffee bar. Also included were nine conference rooms, several small teaming rooms, 250 new workstations, and a high-end secure conference center, all marked by clean, comfortable and contemporary design.

In addition to the standard office facilities, Kamus+Keller helped support the company’s advanced technical requirements: a 180-ton cooling tower was placed adjacent to the building to support the 16 interior, in-row cooling units; all new electrical panels were installed; structural steel reinforcements anchored the overhead systems and ladder rack management; and specially-designed hot/cold containment were designed to service the 4,300 square foot data center.
