Self-Certified Buildings in NYC

mwashchy

Hi everyone,

My name is Marika, and I'm a graduate student at the Columbia Journalism School in new York City. I'm doing a story on self-certification, or 'professional certification,' and I would love to be able to talk to architects, developers, building owners, anyone who has any knowledge about the topic. Drawbacks, benefits, legal issues, construction plans, injuries caused by, etc.

If you or anyone else you know of wants to chat with me about this topic, please feel free to email me at [email protected]. I would love to talk to someone on the inside of self-certification!

Thanks,
Marika

The first rule of self certification is that you don't talk about self certification.

@gruen, but it's not an illegal process if it's done properly. Do you think it's a problem as a whole?
