GIANTclam - an idea to run by you...now that you've received your harvard acceptance package (and you live near ucb) would you be willing to check in with them about when they're accepting? you would be me hero, even more than you already are for getting into gsd.
In the interest of full disclosure, the open-source movement, web 2.0, here are those stats that will aid future generations in over analyzing their own.

Wow, this is quite an impressive group we've got here... congrats to all. Who is in at GSD-AP, and what schools are you coming from?
Last summer, the admissions chair explained that due to the size of the incoming class( i think under 15) they generally only take a maximum of 2 persons per school except in extremely rare cases. I was told I made it to the final table but was beat out by two UVA grads (good friends) here's hoping for better luck today!
Hi Skotch-
My profile: I have an architecture background (4 yr BA of Arch from UC Berkeley), but I have no crazy special qualifications (like working for a starchitect or special honors in undergrad). I've been out of school for four years, since have worked in an architecture firm and participated (didnt win) in a couple of competitions, and have a pretty strong fine arts background.
got an e-mail from cornell today about m.arch open house, yet have heard nothing about acceptance. anyone else find this curious mailer in their inbox?

Huh? You mean UCB or GSD? I rarely go to UCB campus-last time I went was in December, its not exactly on any of my normal routes.
ie by the next time Im at Wurster Hall you'll probably have heard form UCB.
whoops sorry i meant ucb...if its not convenient don't worry about it.

Got the letter a little while ago from GSD for the AP track.
Went to Michigan Undergrad, double major in English Lit and Architecture. Graduated in '08, have been working in NYC for the last 10 months.

Can the GSD acceptees post their ports?
Giantclam, you rock... congrats again...
Did you get in as AP?
@musiknouveau27
see my portfolio above.
by the way I am in New York.
Who is leaning towards GSD?
my fafsa was sent to the business school in january (just said harvard graduate school on fafsa website).
was given no money.
if the corrections are made and gsd meets me half way, im good for another 3.5 in boston
musiknouveau27: here's my portfolio.... Sorry about the size. Lulu doesn't really compress files and I don't really feel like hosting the compressed version elsewhere....

10: I'm leaning towards GSD unless Penn offers me a bunch more money. We'll see on that one.
no one else got the cornell mailer about open house?
has anyone heard from cornell?
out of curiosity, what kind/how much of fin. aid did you GSD people get?
btw...sorry for sounding so demanding but damn I'm impressed. Congrats to all those who got in to GSD!
anyone heard from cornell? I got open house invitation but no acceptance mail. What does this mean? confusing!
congrats 10,,
I love your paintings!!!!
I guess i'm not the only one who included TU Delft Competition in porf..
Hmm...
I live in Boston, but no GSD package or MIT email for me. I guess I know the answer now.

in all my nervousness (followed by excitement) about UCLA,
i forgot i even applied.
:P
_juut and Sakurani..
I also got an open house invitation mail from Cornell.
There seems to be people who havent received that mail although
they have applied for cornell.
I tried calling the office. no one answers..
Please let us know if anyone here from anywhere.
@ 10 -> your portfolio: poodle project made me laugh in these dark days. thanks.

Rejected by UVA! Yess. For the second time. I have no idea what UVA likes, but I'm not it. Evidently.
its not all dark days though - just waiting to hear from the rest: UCLA [hope is not lost] UWash [hope is lost] and USC [hoping]
Super Congrats to everyone who heard good news today! Architenectors are a talented bunch :)
