and Akin, that's Corviale, the 1km housing project on the outskirts of Rome. Lots of different architects involved, but planned by Mario Fiorentino. A pretty severe way to alleviate urban crowding. I'll post in a few.
Apartment building in the woods. The entire project was designed from a 3D model that had accurate measurements of all the existing trees (and accounted for their movement during storms and high winds) so that nothing would be touched or impacted by the building.
only other thing I can come up with is that it looks similar to the FCA campus at La Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua, but again I can't find that specific building or any information on the architect. Holz where you at?
I'll post another building in a few to keep the thread going.
hi guys, I've been trying to find randomized's building with no luck...so, the hints are: probably a dutch office's work in Argentina?...I looked all the way from Iguazu to the Patagonia and nothing...ufff!
here's some of the other buildings in the same complex as the one I posted (holz has the location right), all by the same architect. The first one I posted is the final project he completed before his death in 1975:
sorry Holz, really interesting post. It reminded me of a similar experiment executed by MVRDV.
...just...you (I whisper this) you can read the office's name at the bottom of the pics...
I'm also looking for a post to send...
