an amazing building by a severely under-appreciated / relatively unknown (until recently) architect who influenced many at the begging of modernism in europe. some more images:
check the structure going over the window in the last one. I'll post some more hints in a bit if no one bites.
dread that's almost an identical system.. interesting. per would love this, but i don't think this qualifies as 3DH.. don't the cross members need to meet at a 45 degree angle? I don't remember, maybe i'll start a new thread..
fyi, i poached the photos from seier+seier's flickr, I highly recommend checking it out for a quick biography of haring as well as a great collection of early European modern architecture.

"A tension roof structure spanning 22 ft. (I could not wait for a longer and therefore more appropriate span—which renders this an exercise in structural exhibitionism) poised at the water's edge with breathing walls and a spirit of light-heartedness. It should have been one room because of the volumes of space defined by the curving roof, but it is actually divided into four spaces, and the resultant segmental spaces are not satisfactory."
