holz - isn't that a good thing? I wish there were too many good architects here, instead there are too many who are crap...and a disproportion to really bad ones.
Oh is it Tom de Paor? I should of thought of him first.
Sorry to barge in on the party: While the detailing looks nice, I think the exterior spaces created by those leaning facades are horrific. Especially those in between the buildings look harsh and seem to lack scale and purpose.
i have to agree about the public spaces. it's hard to tell from the images how exactly people are supposed to use the exterior spaces. but the green aspects of the buildings seem to perform quite well (go to the project page on buro happold's website). it's also nice to see a government body set an example for sustainable design.
kildare civic offices, now called aras chill dara
henegan.peng architects from dublin
won the 2006 RIBA award for European architecture
besides both partners being GSD graduates, they each spent about a decade at Graves' office....

some interior shots:
the back wall in this one makes me want to scream at someone
Nice take on Loos.
smelly, me thinks that back wall is the kitchen, so the new tenant would bring their own counters... ikea!

hint hint - building and office are both in vienna

only my desire to produce equally fascinating and innovative work...
it's green in more than one sense...
buro happhold on the m&e
oh i know this one but i am going to keep my mouth shut. holz, i am surprised you are going with a more well-known, larger project.
i didn't realize it was so well known! whoops. keps it going, i guess.
eh, maybe i've just stumbled across it an abnormal amount. but it did win a pretty big award...
oh. yeah, not too shabby for some GSD alum...

Ahhh its either Grafton Architects or O'Donnell-Tuomey
phuyaka, only if there's a consensus.
it's neither of those firms, ATP.
ha, might as well do one irish building per page.
i don't recognize this one... smelly i say you step up if no one gets it soon
buro HaPpold
and for a small island, there seem to be a disproportionate no. of good architects.
