I have in good faith that MIT are sending out offers in the next two hours. Keep your lines open because the blitzkrieg is about to start. They were finishing the financial offers last night/this morning.

one potential way to find out if you got in, is to call the financial aid office (if you filed for financial aid) and ask if they have a decision regarding your financial package next year.

*i havent done this yet, but a friend of mine did it last year and he found out he got into the GSD

true... or they could be like UVA, and send you an acceptance almost three weeks ago and say theyll send your financial info on march 15th, yet never send it. in other words, an acceptance with no financial decision yet.

miami- i dont know why these schools are taking so long on financial aid info... UVA open house is next week and if i havent heard something by then, i will be marching right into the fin aid office to demand a response. ahem, yeah right.

I wrote an email simlar to this, this morning.

Dear MIT,
The post office here is filled with idiots. Please just call me and tell me the bad news, since I cannot receive mail.

I guess somebody has to take the time to analyze your answers to all 5000+ questions on that stupid financial aid application, feed it into a mainframe computer at the Pentagon, verify the information with the IRS, and tabulate the results before they can make an offer.

yeah financial aid info is usually sent out by the actual university, not the college of architecture. the college of architeceture will notify you if you are receiving a recruitment scholarship though, but thats usually in your acceptance letter. I am making a little bit of an assumption here as i haven't contacted every school to verify if that is exactly how it works, but the few schools that i have called explained it to me this way.

anyone want to share myspace addresses? i'm bored out of my mind. =)
