I don't think it's a trend. I think if enough people can get a handle on it, that the industry will embrace it, as it makes too much sense not to.
We have one license for it here in my firm. I've not used it yet but I've seen what it can do and it is really, really powerful. I think they were smart to make the interface resemble AutoCad too, that will probably help with people's comfort level.

Taking revit course, is it gaining ground in real practice?
Does anyone have any work experience with this software, will it be the future or is it just a trend?
