Ever Use a SkyCrane? Apologies to agfa8x.

MysteryMan

Please forgive me, agfa8x. Your post
"the futuro is plastico "
gave me an idea. So I'm gonna latch onto your great post w/ this one:
Who here has worked on a project that required the use of a 'SKYCRANE' heliocopter? Did you ever see one in action while in the military? etc, etc

Although not a great (or even 'good') bldg, the 191 Peachtree Tower in dntwn ATL needed one of these back in '89, or '90 to lift cooling towers onto its roof, approc 60 stories up. It was up there for hours, loud as heylll, & poWERful. Plus, it was KOOL.

Pictures, etc, etc.

agfa8x - that first pic is BA. This reminds me, theres an airshow here this weekend perhaps I should go. I've see helicopters used for lifting around here, mainly logging not really for building.

Allow to submit another very cool pic.

I've seen them used for crop-dressing, and for this:
