the pic on this link is the experience music project but if you follow the popular science link and then go to the slideshow you can see what gehry's proposed. feel like i heard about this a year or so ago. he's probably just playing around.
"...Foil-covered pneumatic air bladders on the exterior inflate to provide cushioning in case the car hits a biker or pedestrian..." greatly extending the range at which such pedestrians or bikers are catapulted during an accident and making it easier for the driver to earn more points from bouncing potential victims off other cars, nearby stationary objects, and even each other!
The Association for Giving Completely Meaningless Points to Doing Stupid Things with You Car, AGCoMPDoSTYC, has not yet indicated whether or not its ranking system will be impacted by this new feature, but sources from within the organization have indicated that the majority of both its Board of Directors and membership have expressed concern over the potential point distribution between those with the new car and those without. One board member was quoted as saying, "With the Oil Crisis, there was a dramatic change in vehicle mass with the sudden introduction of economy cars that resulted in an advantage to those drivers who could afford gas-guzzlers, but only until the driving styles of Americans with economy cars changed to start taking advantage of their automobiles greater quickness and agility. Pneumatic air bladders represent a very unbalanced threat to our standard point system because those without it are very obviously at a dissadvantage."
