if you follow sports, what teams do you pull for, and why?

big arsenal/SC freiburg fan - attended Arsenal game when i was 7. went to 8 SC games last year.

BoSox - been a fan since dad took me to my first game, orioles/sox in 88. definitely not a fairweather or a bandwagon.

motoGP

200mph on one wheel, knee-dragging, left AND right hand turns

as for an architect's angle, the combination of the technical expertise required in getting a competitive bike on the track with the rare art of being able to ride it well is what draws me the most. that and the crumpet.

I'm a lifelong, born, bred, proud, bleeding loser. Therefore, every summer (and spring training, and off-season) I pour my heart and soul into cheering for my Chicago Cubs. Lifelong. And because of that, I feel a special kinship with all those long suffering BoSox fans out there. Plus, I cheer for whoever is playing against the Yankees/White Sox on a given day.

I only started watching the NFL a few years ago, but my heart is already with the hometown Bears. I like the Eagles, too, but I'm more a McNabb fan than an Eagles fan.

Who could grow up in Chicago in the '90s and not cheer for the Bulls in the NBA? Now I can barely watch (basketball in general, not just the Bulls), but if I had to, I'd identify with the Bulls.

I used to be a Mark Martin fan, back when I liked watching rednecks drive cars in circles. Then sensibility prevailed.

Rugby Union, Celtic League & Heiniken Cup - Cardiff Blues.

A 9 year labour of pain and disappointment. Rugby is in the blood and they are my local team. I now live 20 yards from the Arms Park Stadium but fortunes have remained the poor.

I've always been a Houston Astros fan. Not sure why but it might have something to do with going to the Astrodome when I was young and watching Nolan Ryan pitch.

Back in the Elway days I was a huge Denver Broncos fan. Now I don't much care what happens in football. Overpaid idiots mostly. Same goes for all professional sports I guess.

boston red sox....kyll what's to hate about the new york yankees?...
they're cute with their 200m+ payroll...the team that george built
hasn't won in 4 years and has no tradeable assets other than moolah...living in new york last year...awful...living in new york this
year...priceless. long live the curse of arod.

new england patriots
boston bruins - boo nhl
boston celtics - great growin up in the 70s with all those banners in there with the old boston garden...
penn state nittany lion football
north carolina basketball

and i love european soccer...dislike manu as much as i used to
dislike the yankees.

no comment lars....

i shall speak nought of ye sox fans. not until the stripes beat the sox will i speak down to ye.

there is no curse with a-rod. you could repeat it till your sox turn blue, but that curse nonsense is for the indigenous antiquated 75 year olds that believed a man could curse an entire baseball team, and consequently an entire city.

but sox are the champs.....i admit it painfully (@!*%$)

no offense meant kyll..
have never really had a chance to gloat before...

last year i was working at kpf and i actually had a guy
start chanting "1918" the day after game 7...i've never
really felt that much violent emotion towards someone else
over sports before then...or after.

he claimed he was happiest about the yanks winning cause
he was worried that he'd have to stop his chants if the sox
had won...
