A vintage warehouse in the West Loop has been renovated into the main offices of a cutting-edge brand identity firm. Supersized graphics and bold colors contrast with the exposed bow-string trusses and raw brick of the space. With sustainability serving as a key priority of the project, existing building components were reused whenever possible; by either reconfiguration or new usage these recycled elements gained fresh identities. Previously routine task lighting has been gathered into sculptural nodes demarking key zones throughout the open work area. Added insulation and enhanced mechanical systems minimize utility costs while resolving critical acoustical issues. With a constantly evolving workload, the space was designed to be easily adaptable. Creativity and agility are two of the core strengths of Bluedog and its offices reflect these sensibilities.
