KAHN architecture repurposed this residential townhouse into a multifunctional venue that supports a global, nonprofit organization devoted to advancing the human rights of women and girls. The reprogramming includes the design of a large commercial kitchen, art room, lunch room, conference area, boardroom, smaller meeting spaces, wellness rooms, and several open office space areas accompanied with smaller pantries woven throughout the building’s six floors. Traditional furnishings and a natural muted color palette, along with clean, light finishes bring a result that is both relaxed and modern in style.
