Architecture Building Features 1 >>> LIBRARY

    By Gabriel Duarte

As we´re having a quite calm first week here I had the chance to take some time today to take some pictures of the architecture building here in Delft. I´ll start with the academic posts next week, when we´ll have everything completely settled down.
So, I proudly present a series of some features of our building here! (respectfully 'stealing' the clever idea of the Princetion bloggger)

First, below is a picture of our local library which houses most of the university´s book and periodicals collection on architecture, urbanism and landscape. All the new acquisitions and more rare volumes are kept in the centrl library (by Mecanoo).
It´s quite a good place to sit down for a couple of ours to read, especially when the sun is shinig through the north windows and one of the sofas are free over there. There´s also a special study room upstairs with computers where we can go to work in a more quiet environment (for writing mostly), away from the constant noise of the studios.
