Sean Lally presented a lecture titled "Let's Touch" as a part of the Knowlton School's Atmospheres lecture series.
Lally is founder of WEATHERS/Sean Lally LLC, in Chicago and an Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of Illinois at Chicago. His practice explores new ways to design the environments that we inhabit. Their projects combine know how from architects, landscape architects, engineers and additional researchers. The cross-disciplinary nature allows them to test organizational, economic, aesthetic and social aspects of their designs in connection to energy. Some of the practices recent projects include proposals for the Gdansk Museum of WWII, an extension to the Stockholm City Library and a proposal for the urban redevelopment of Reykjavik, Iceland.
Lally received his Master of Architecture from the University of California, Los Angeles and his B.S. in Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
