The Knowlton School will be a busy, yet exciting place to be this semester for students, faculty, and visitors alike.
The graduate program is excited to have Andrew Atwood, Assistant Professor at UC Berkeley and Partner at LA-based First Office teaching a second year graduate studio.
The Knowlton School is also please to host Sanford Kwinter as The Herbert Baumer Distinguished Visiting Professor for this semester. Kwinter will give a lecture to the school, and have several sessions with third year graduate students focusing on Architectural Theory and Criticism, a subject he currently teaches at the Pratt Institute
A vertical studio (combined juniors and seniors) is being taught by Borja Ferrater from Office of Architecture Barcelona. Their studio focuses on the design of a culinary arts center, while understanding how to design on a local scale in an increasingly global city. This studio will be traveling to Barcelona for Spring Break to further their research.
Here are just a handful of other things to look forward to reading about during the Spring Semester:
Baumer Lecture series and Banvard Gallery Exhibitions
Study Abroad trip to Cuba lead by Professor Jacqueline Gargus
Anna Neimark and Andrew Atwood Workshop
SERVitecture Fashion Schau
Career Day
Mean Detail Symposium hosted by Justin Diles
Master of Architecture Exit Reviews
