The Knowlton School welcomed Landscape architect, Michael Blier, to lecture on October 12. Blier is the founding principle of the critically recognized firm, Landworks Studio Inc.. located in downtown Boston.

Blier presented a number of recent projects coming out of the studio. The work is largely focused on urban sites and seeks to examine the complex problems that exist between ecologically challenged sites, ecological and cultural sustainability, material tectonics and program as a mechanism for achieving highly performative and visually compelling solutions.

Landworks studio has been joined by a number of OSU alumni in recent years including Shelly Drees, David Schimmel and Matt Johnson who have worked closely with Blier on some of the presented projects.
