Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora

With a turquoise lagoon protected by a fringe of white coral on one side and two soaring mountain peaks on the other, BAMO’s design of Four Seasons Bora Bora honors its stunning locale, as well as its cultural context.

The orientation of buildings and framing of windows emphasize the island views.  Rooms are designed to take advantage of the natural cross ventilation, thus reducing the need for air conditioning.  Simple shapes and quiet interior colors allow the visual focus to remain on the brilliant blue of the surrounding ocean.

In addition to natural beauty, the pacific islands possess a rich history and culture.  Design inspiration is drawn from elements specific to Bora Bora, including local tools, small utilitarian furniture, and adornment including feather, bone, carving, and tattoos.  Design motifs find their way into textile patterns, wood work carving, and artwork selections.  These touches of culture add “ornament” to a very serene design.
