These are 2 of the 9 drawings I did for the final in my Orthogonal Drawing course at the BAC. I chose the Double House by MVRDV in Utrect, Holland (1995-1997). The Double House unifies two residences through the “force of influence” and the “force of dynamics” throughout the composition, so that both families have an equal view of the park across the street. This project intrigued me because of the Architects’ process of iteration, which brought them to the final outcome of a simple cube form with complex interlacing and embracing within the interior of the structure.
