Shantou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine

This is a design of traditional Chinese medicine hospital, which adopts a finger-like layout, connecting all departments through the main hub. The four rectangular blocks from the south to the north are the inpatient department, the medical technology department, the outpatient department, and the management department. Patients enter the departments from the front rectangular hub, and the back corridors are for medical personnel and logistics use. I set a semi-enclosed courtyard between buildings to bring the landscape into every room, creating a good medical environment. The arched skylight in the central hub can give the lobby a good light, relieving the anxiety and depression of patients. Taking into account the companion to the hospitalized patients in the Chinese tradition, the ward provides a lounge chair for the families in the outer window. This device, combining a shading system, provides a good vocabulary for the facade of the building.
