Ankrom Moisan has been working on a number of various TIs with OHSU since 2015, primarily in medical spaces with a few education space projects such as an auditorium upgrade at the School of Nursing. Additional projects have been with PeaceHealth at their SW campus in Vancouver, WA and their Riverbend campus in Springfield, OR.
Projects I've worked on are a linear accelerator (LINAC) installation, food allergy clinic, PET-CT replacement, cardiac catheterization lab, OB/GYN, observation unit TI, and various finish replacements and upgrades. These projects require close coordination with the user groups to determine the needs and operations of the space, with the regulating agencies to ensure they comply with all physical requirements for the safety of patients and staff, and with the equipment vendors, project engineers, and construction teams to ensure that there are no conflicts.
An important part of each project is patient experience. It's critical for operations that everything is set up for healthcare staff work as efficiently as possible, but it is also important that patients feel as safe, calm, and secure as possible in what are inevitably difficult times for them. It's important that the design feel as comfortable as possible.
