U.S. Peace Corp

Design Concept for U.S. Peace Corps Headquarters - Washington D.C.

Our design for the U.S. Peace Corps Headquarters in Washington, D.C., aims to capture the boldness and ambition inherent to the Peace Corps’ mission. Both in form and essence, this architectural concept embodies beauty, resilience, and core American values, creating a visual and experiential tribute to the organization’s legacy and future.

The design is both architectural and sculptural, blurring the boundaries between structure and art. Each element on the site is interdependent, working together to form a cohesive composition that radiates strength, intrigue, and unity. The building’s sculptural lines and open spaces represent a vision where architecture and landscape merge seamlessly, creating a powerful visual and spatial narrative.

Building Connections, Inspiring Humanity

Much like the Peace Corps’ mission to foster relationships and facilitate global progress, the structure’s design reflects this by establishing a poetic interplay between the building, landscape, and visitors. This interaction serves as a metaphor for the Peace Corps’ commitment to building meaningful connections across cultures and borders.

At the heart of Washington, D.C., the headquarters becomes a dynamic urban landmark that invites pedestrians to pause, reflect, and connect with the surrounding environment. Through thoughtfully designed pathways and gathering spaces, the structure provides opportunities for quiet reflection on its elegance, simplicity, and grace.

Transformative Experience of Space and Light

The design allows occupants to experience shifting perspectives as they move through the site, with natural light and spatial contrasts that influence their perception of scale. This interaction of site, structure, and light invites individuals to reflect on their place within a larger global community, echoing the values of humility, service, and understanding.
