Abstract
The project was derived by studying the inventions and work of Leonardo Da Vinci, and using his philosophy and ideology to design an Escape Room. How would an escape room designed by Leonardo Da Vinci look like in the 21st century?
Studying Leonardo Da Vinci’s inventions, we came to a conclusion that Leonardo Da Vinci had a great understanding of gears, mechanics of rotational and linear patterns. He indeed lived ahead of his time. We have used cog as the basic element in our design. Implanting and creating a complex patterns,
the escape room acts as a maze which can be solved by thoroughly understanding the mechanism of the cog wheel and their movements.
Synesthesia
The game consists of six players starting from six different locations. Every two player has been assigned with certain abilities based on human senses that can be used through out the game.
The primary goal of the game is to communicate with the other players using these senses and reaching to the main cog also known as the ‘Escape Cog’
This process and phenomenon of communication and over lapping of senses is called ‘Synesthesia’
